Partly, I have the Win 7 machine seeing
and getting to the eCS machine by
using Map Network Drive on the the
Win 7 machine which now has
the three drives on the eCS machine
as networked drives on Win7.

Going the other way has me stumped,
eCS will not pick up the Win 7 machine.
Ah well.

Windows may not be serving out its shares using a protocol that
eCS is (or is capable of) using.

Windows may not be serving out its shares using a protocol that
eCS is (or is capable of) using.
You will have to turn off SMB2 protocol in Win7, then it should work (in
theory, not tested here yet).

Our SMB plugin is based on Samba 3.0 (plugin 1.5.x) and 3.3 (plugin
1.6.x). Samba supports SMB2 protocol from Version 3.5 and 3.6 onward. As
soon as our plugin will be based upon these Samba Versions, eCS will be
able to pick up the Win 7 machine without turning SMB2 off.

Kind regards,
Herwig
